T.R. Ryan: Oklahoma City, OK, United States; TR Ryan is a traveler by trade, photographer, conservationist and "accidental birdist" who once again calls the rolling prairies of Oklahoma home. In 1986 he walked away from a fledgling journalism career to take a year and “see a little something of the world”. Twenty-five years, six continents and ninety-one countries later, “From the Faraway, Nearby” is the photographic journal that celebrates both his native Oklahoma and the people, places and natural history TR encounters as he travels the world.

T.R. Ryan, blogs at the equally beautiful From the Faraway, Nearby -- a blog, he claims, is "a celebration of travel, nature and poetry of place." His site is a true traveler's photoblog, with images from 6 different continents, and filled with his impressions of the lands he visits. Definitely work a good long look.
